Variax Opens New Dimensions to High Speed Feeding
The advent of complex electronic components forms a strong drive in the press industry for mass production of limitless product variations with uncompromising quality. In 1980, Sankyo combined its many years of experience with the state of the art technology to produce the Variax, a high speed cam driven feed for high speed presses. The Variax was introduced as a feed capable of faster speeds with better reliability. Other innovations included numerical adjustments that reduce set up time while increasing productivity. In keeping with the trend toward FMS (flexible manufacturing systems) and NC (numerical control) applications, Sankyo now embraces the variax series with servo drive technology.
