The EX series is a cam-actuated, indexing tool post, designed with a roller gear cam mechanism to incorporate extra-strong cam followers matched to a globoidal cam. Cast iron housings and dual bearings support the most extreme forces from any direction on the output turret. Large diameter cam followers make less revolutions and increase surface contact to inherently extend life hours and torque capacity. Mechanical holding force capacities of up to 1000-kgf are much greater than traditional clamps and coupled hydraulic pumps. As a result, this extremely high-torque mechanism is capable of fast indexing speeds and consistent positioning accuracy without the use of gear couplings.

Preloaded internal components maintain long term positioning accuracy within ±2 arc seconds. Simplistic designs without external pumps make this unit user-friendly and easy to service.
