Overview
There are many applications in the machine tool industry that can benefit from the proper choice of motion control. Our experience with cam technology has enabled us to develop several motion control products that enhance the performance of machine tools. As needs for increased productivity have risen, eliminating non-productive time in machining operations has become more and more important. To meet these market needs, we have developed products that reduce non-productive time and increase overall machine productivity.
Sankyo's RollerDriveTM technology has been incorporated into our NC rotary table offering. The zero-backlash mechanism provides tables with high accuracies, high-speeds, and years of near maintenance-free operation. In addition to rotary tables, our cam-actuated Automatic Tool Changers (ATC) provide extremely fast tool changes. Decreased “chip to chip” time means more chips and higher production. We have also developed several other products for the machine tool industry that allow machines to achieve higher productivity.

Tombstones (DST & DSS Series)
Sankyo’s indexing tombstones allow five different surfaces to be machines from one setup when mounted on a horizontal machining center. The tombstone does not require an independent drive source so power cables and control wires are not needed. |
