Overview
Sankyos RollerDrive®
series combines a constant lead cam with a servo motor
drive to offer programmable motion movements. Each cam
is offered in various ratios to maximize the motors
torque capacity, speed requirements and enhance the
overall accuracy. Special applications may require double
reduction ratio of the internal cam and an additional
reducer to provide extreme torque capacity or slow speed.
Since the motions are programmable, non-patterned motions
can be change quickly or synchronize (on the fly) to
match the velocity of supporting equipment.
All units come standard with
center through bores. Some are stationary to provide
secondary mounting above the rotating dial or routing
supply lines. These units ideal when multiple motions
patterns, fast speed ramp rate and frequent stop/start
cycling rates are required.

High-Accuracy
& High-Speed (RA Series)
Sankyos RA series excels
when high speed, high accuracy or frequent cycle
rates are required. The servo motor is coupled
directly to the cam shaft for a 20:1 overall ratio.
Low profile aluminum housings can mount in 6 positions
with the motor on either side. A large rotating
hollow bore output flange is held rigid with a
cross roller bearing for massive bending moment
capacities.

General
Purpose Servo Indexing (RE Series)
The RE series is designed
for mid speed and frequent cycle rates. The internal
20:1 ratio cam can be coupled directly or with
a 2:1 belt, for an overall ratio of 40:1. A stationary
hollow flange can route supply lines or provide
a secondary mounting surface above the rotating
flange. Rigid cast iron housings can mount in
6 positions with the motor drive on either side.

High-Torque
Capacity (AR ServoDEX Series)
Our AR series features
an internal cam ratio with a second inline reducer
ratio for an overall reduction up to 1600:1. Large
loads can transferred with frequent cycle rates
and relatively small motors. A stationary hollow
flange can route supply lines or provide a secondary
mounting surface above the rotating flange. Rigid
cast iron housings can mount in 4 positions with
the motor drive on either side. Adjustable torque
limiting clutches can protect the unit when large
rotating masses crash.
