The VSC series is a loop control and coil straightener combination is superior to conventional U-shaped loops, S-shaped loops, etc. This VSC unit offers solutions to high speed coil feeding problems not achievable in the past.

With the straightener and loop control combined, the overall length of the press line is shortened. The length of material between the loop control rolls and the feed are closely confined but freely adjustable. The height at which the material is introduced into the loop and the angle at which the material is discharged from the loop control are also freely adjustable. Feed pitch is adjustable between 0 to 999.99 mm, while material thickness and roll parallelism are adjusted automatically when material is held by the rolls. Grip force is adjusted by the turn of a dial. The electronic control provides all the functions for automatic loop control and manual jogging. The Variax Loop Control allows feeds to perform at their optimum potential and the jogging feature reduces setup time. Installation requires the addition of a timing resolver on the press crankshaft to keep both synchronized.

The VSC will greatly reduce the material bounce which is frequently experienced with fast output speeds. It also reduces the material weight as seen at the press feed. The combination of no material bounce and reduced material weight will greatly improve feed performance and allow for increased operating speeds.
