CAM INDEXERS & INDEXING

Overview

Cam indexers are available with fixed incremental stops, oscillating or non-patterned motions using a servo motor. Using the same housing, most of our indexing units can be fitted with an indexing, oscillating or constant lead roller drive cam without a dwell period. Web reinforced housings are standard design with globoidal cam ribs and needle bearing cam followers; both of optimal width and diameter. Oversized internal components inherently reduce vibration to extend overall machine life.

Torque limiting clutches, dial risers, drive and timing package accessories will streamline your installations with less design time. Whether it is new design or retrofitting, we offer a large variety of product sizes with compatible dimensions. Custom configurations can be engineered to your specifications. Our full service staff will size the proper unit, supply drawings and technically support or supply onsite/offsite service.

	Dial Index Sankyo offers four series ideal for dial plate indexing. Each have stationary center through bores for routing supply lines and dual flanges for mounting a stationary dial over the indexing dial. An excellent choice for the basis of an assembly machine.
	Right Angle Index Right angle indexers are typically used for continuous running application with cams configured to match the indexing transfer and idle times without stopping the motor. The output can be coupled with our shaft to shaft torque limiters or with flange to mount hub-less sprockets. Internal bearings are small in diameter for high speed but located on both ends of the output shaft to support large bending moments.
	Parallel Index Parallel indexers have the input and output shafts located parallel. They are commonly used to drive feed conveyors or packaging machinery when a line shaft needs to index. Only 1 to 8 fixed stops and oscillating motions are available. Feeding and idle times are usually configured to match the supported machinery with the line shaft or drive motor running continuously.
