Overview
Sankyo offers a full line of
Dial Index units to rotate tables up to 21 feet in diameter.
Standard hollow bore centers can route supplies with
a stationary flange for mounting a second dial above
the indexing dial. Standard units average ±10
arcsec accuracy (but not to exceed ±30 arcsec)
with optional high accuracy units available. All units
perform bi-directional indexing motions or optional
oscillating or non-patterned motions with a servo driven
continuous lead cam. Most units can be fitted with an
adjustable output clutch.

High-Torque
(AD Series)
The Alpha series is an all-in-one indexing drive complete with a cost-effective geared motor that is covered with a slim housing. After reviewing the design, this indexing drive has been made more user-friendly and uses the same roller gear cam mechanism found in all of our Sandex products (which have set high production records). |

Design
for Specials (DT Series)
This table-type indexing drive has good features, such as a large diameter, extremely rigid output table, low table height, a very rigid, hollow, fixed shaft attached to the center of the table and, you can also connect attachments directly to the sides of the housing. Since this indexing unit can perform indexing that requires multiple stops, it is very well suited as a base machine for rotary-type automated assembly machinery, processing machinery and automated wrapping machinery that requires multiple-process tasks. |

Large
Dial (DTR Series)
When driving very heavy loads, such as when processing cathode-ray tubes for large TVs, 40 to 50 m long inline type automated machines, or large parabola antenna drive units, several considerations that are not applicable to general universal types need to be reviewed. This extra large indexing drive DTR series is a reliable indexing unit that was developed after extensive research and development, and experience. It features a housing designed for easy maintenance and it is capable of performing inspections and replacements while installed on a table. The input system is designed for a long machine life and employs a reliable Newman Worm gear with a self-lubricating system. This is a cost effective direct drive system for extra large index systems where cleanliness is required. It uses our proprietary cam technology for improved dynamic characteristics and energy conservation (cam balancer). |

Ring
Type (Do Series)
The Do series features a unique ring-shaped output shaft consisting of a large diameter ring and a center bore installed in an extremely thin housing. An automatic assembly and processing system can be easily designed by installing the peripheral equipment inside the center bore. The diameter of the turret is oversized for the diameter of the cam, for use in applications with multiple index stops. |
