P
Series Parallel P/E Type

These
drives are available as roller, indexing, and oscillating drives.

The
P series is the ideal indexing unit for high-speed applications
requiring few stops, such as conveyons with relatively long
feed piches or long dwell periods. This single-dimentional
indexing unit uses two parallel plate cams on the input shaft
to impart intermittent motions to the followers on a spider
located on the output shaft. The input and output shafts are
parallel. It is easy to produce drives with any small number
of stops, such as 1, 2, or 3. This mechanism possesses the
same superior characteristics of our roller-gear cam type
indexing units. Sankyo's original uneven-pitch parallel cam
increases load capacity and accuracy, making it possible to
produce drives that uses to be technically unfeasible. The
accuracy, speed performance, and reliability make the P series
the ideal intermittent indexing mechanism for today's industrial
mechinery.
Sankyo's table-type indexing drives are widely recognized
for their ability to meet the demands of less energy, high
precision, and high efficiency.
