In
1977, Sankyo developed a compact utility model suitable for
heavy loads and mid-speed operation. Unitil then, flanges
and couplings had to be attached before mounting tables, arms,
sprockets or gears. But Sankyo ingeniously incorporated the
flange in its indexing drive and unveiled the first ready-to-use
flange-type indexing drive
Now
Sankyo provides specially-designed models such as the hollow-shaft
model and the fixed-shaft model. The hollow-shaft model has
a hole in the center of the output shaft for wiring and plumbing
from peripheral equipment. On the fixed-shaft model, the output
shaft has a fixed shaft positioned in the center for mounting
tables to be used by other peripheral equipment.
