Cam Balancers

Sankyo's center-column-type indexing drive has three outputs on the same output shaft:intermittent shaft, fixed shaft (hollow), continuous shaft.

The most important point when configuring automated machinery is to minimize the drive system from the drive source to the final output and yet still obtain the desired movement as accurately as possible.

The center-column-type indexing drive features a compact yet rigid housing with a built-in reducer gear for driving the cam shaft and the continuous rotating shaft. The output shaft offers a smooth motion that can only be derived without any transfer mechanisms.

BBS method features a three layer output construction on the same center line. Ideal for rotary-type automated machinery.

Benefits of Using a Cam Balancer

•Cam shaft torque is averaged and peak torque becomes small.
•Since peak electric current reduces, drive motor can be miniaturized.
•There are little influence of backlash and slack of an input system.
•Rotation unevenness of a cam shaft is decreased, and backlash coefficient becomes small.
•Improves controllability of drive motor.
•High energy conservation effect.
•An output characteristic is improved and approach to an ideal condition.
•A remaining vibration decreases and positioning period is reduced.
•Decreases vibration and noise.
•Better positioning accuracy.
•Span of life increases and reliability rises.
•Higher speed
