Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) Controllers use electronic braking to stop the index motor consistently even if the speed is changed. Multiple speed patterns can be used to jog for easy setup. E-stops can occur without tripping the output torque limiter clutch due to the soft stopping feature. Continuous duty cycles can be simulated while running cycle on demand by lengthening the dwell time since the speed can be changed on the fly with every cycle. Stop/start cycles per minute depend on the reducer backlash/life and the output load.
